1) Special Meeting at AirVenture 2010 to discuss NTSB Safety Recommendations for Volunteer Pilot Medical Transport Operations
2) Volunteers Wanted for Public Benefit Aviation Tent at AirVenture 2010
Please read carefully the information below regarding both subjects! 1) Volunteer Pilot Organization representatives should attend a special meeting at AirVenture 2010 to discuss the recent NTSB Safety Recommendations.
In a recent Bulletin we sent out details about the NTSB recommendations, which were developed following their analysis of four accidents involving volunteer pilots conducting flights in support of patient transport operations.
EAA has kindly provided ACA and all group representatives a meeting room at AirVenture 2010 so we can discuss the recommendations and ACA's response to NTSB, as well as the actions groups may consider regarding the recommendations. We also expect several agency and association VIP's to attend.
The meeting will be on Tuesday, July 27, 10 AM - 11:55 AM. Details of the meeting are provided in the attached PDF file.
You may also see all the prior information about the NTSB Recommendations and the questions to be answered by visiting the NTSB Recommendations Page at: http://www.aircareall.org/NTSB-recs.htm
The page includes links to the NTSB letter containing their recommendations as well as for other information. Please be sure to review all the information carefully. 2) Exhibit Tent Volunteers Needed for Public Benefit Aviation Tent at AirVenture 2010
VOLUNTEER PILOTS WANTED AT OSHKOSH !!
EAA wholeheartedly supports volunteer pilots’ generous efforts to serve those in need and their communities. By volunteering at the tent you can share your charitable aviation experiences with fellow general aviation pilots and enthusiasts.
The Public Benefit Aviation tent will be located near AeroShell Square. The tent will provide visitors with information about the various opportunities available to pilots and will display the stories of those who have benefited from Public Benefit Aviation. As with last year, banners and videos will show how general aviation is used to help the needy and serve our communities.
Would you
volunteer a shift or two at the Public Benefit Aviation tent?
Send your information to: lindy.kirkland@aircareall.org When you come to AirVenture be sure also to bring along a good supply of your group's brochures to put on display.
Regardless of any volunteering you may do, please consider the Public Benefit Aviation tent at AirVenture 2010 to be your home away from home! We will enjoy meeting you.
Thank you for your dedication to Public Benefit Aviation! |
