A MESSAGE FROM EAA - the Experimental Aircraft Association!

The following information has been sent to the headquarters of all known volunteer-based public benefit flying groups.  Please be sure you are on our mailing list so you receive updates about this event as we move closer to AirVenture 2009.

We are also providing it to you, as a group member or friend of public benefit flying, so you can help your group participate in Fly 4 Life at EAA AirVenture 2009. Please contact your group to volunteer to help them, and also feel free to contact us if you wish to serve as a potential exhibit volunteer at AirVenture. The following information describes this major outreach campaign for AirVenture 2009.

To all Public Benefit Flying Groups:

Dear Public Benefit Flying Leader,

We are writing to invite you and your group to participate in a new theme at EAA Air Venture Oshkosh 2009: “Fly for Life.”

This is a major new theme at what is the world’s largest general aviation annual event!

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) will be showcasing the breadth and depth of good works accomplished by General Aviation here in the United States and throughout the world.  Our focus is to provide an awareness-generating opportunity for your organization and an opportunity for the GA community to feel good about its positive influence on the lives of others.

The presentation at the center of the show will be two-fold.  At the southern edge of Aero Shell Square will be two large display tents funded by EAA exhibiting the work of domestic volunteer pilot/charitable aviation organizations, as well as mission aviation’s work around the world.  Static aircraft displays plus showcase flying prior to the daily air show will bring further attention to the good work of pilots serving people in need.  An interactive website is being developed to guide and link visitors with more information about your mission and your organization.  And finally, our committee will be hosting several forums, providing speakers during the Theater in the Woods evening programs, and working with the EAA to truly celebrate all those involved in “flying to help others live.”

Simply stated, we are excited to share and promote your hard work and that of other organizations under the big umbrella often referred to as Public Benefit Flying.  We want to list as many organizations as possible within the tent’s signage and on the website that will be a centerpiece of our “on field” and “off field” promotion of your work.

Here is what we would like from you in order to properly recognize your organization:  Please work with your organization to fill out the online questionnaire at http://tinyurl.com/EAA-ACA-Group-Survey. We need the information back as soon as possible.

Thank you in advance for helping us bring the public benefit flying message to Oshkosh 2009 and beyond.

With appreciation,

Your Oshkosh 2009 Public Benefit Flying Promotion Coordinators:

Bob Warner – EAA Volunteer Fly for Life Coordinator
