Air Care 2009
National Conference
April 17-18, 2009
Hilton President Kansas City
Hosted by:
![AFC with R_Color.jpg](aircare2009_files/image002.jpg)
You and your
Colleagues are cordially invited
to join many other leaders in Public Benefit Flying
at Air Care 2009!
Each year the Air Care Alliance holds its AIR CARE national conference to
bring together those most involved in public benefit flying. Attendees enjoy
learning from, sharing knowledge with, and building relationships
among their peers from across the country.
Why attend? You will join other leaders and staff
members of many public benefit flying groups who believe that we all benefit
from the goodwill and mutual support gained from working together and learning
from one another. And we have fun doing it!
Here are a few of
the accomplishments from our past conferences:![](images-aircare/aircar16.jpg)
• developed goals
for improved understanding of volunteer pilot operations by the public,
• initiated appropriate treatment of our activities by FAA and other regulatory
agencies,
• discussed how to improve our scheduling systems,
• encouraged all groups
to develop emergency preparedness programs,
• completed a campaign for an
international call sign,
• worked with the AOPA Air Safety Foundation for a
guidebook and video improving safety of our pilots' flight operations,
• clarified
liability and insurance issues,
• shared information on how to best conduct media
and public information campaigns,
• learned
about the unique ways each group's
volunteers help those in need,
•
and - announced our work with the National Aeronautic Association to create the
first ever National Public Benefit Flying Awards for volunteer pilot groups and
volunteers.
This year we will
continue these discussions, focusing especially on creating proactive campaigns
for enhanced safety for our volunteer pilots and their passengers, learning
methods for responsibly handling critical situations in order to preserve the
goodwill we have all worked so hard to build, and working together to represent
all our groups and the world of public benefit flying at EAA AirVenture 2009 and
beyond.
Please review the
conference schedule and information below. You will quickly learn why you will
benefit from joining us at Air Care
2009!
